*Compilation fails after I removed my INTROOT directory*

After consequent changes concerning your INTROOT, it is better to clean( make clean) your module before compiling it again ( make all ). Indeed that operation often solves your compilation problem. If it solves then it was a dependancies problem. Else search on another place. The depandencies files are generated by first make call if it doesn't exist. In your case it was when your INTROOT was present. After generation, this files always are used to speed up make process. However they can be out of date. A simple make clean often solves such problem.
