The aim of this practice session is to go one step further in the modeling of interferometric observables. Indeed, we will have a first look at the basic functionalities of a radiative transfer code, RADMC-3D, and its Python interface radmc3dPy. We will learn how to create models and produce images that will be used to compute interferometric observables and thus simulate data from VLTI interferometers such as MATISSE.
