Hi all,

I’m Lucia Klarmann, currently a postdoc at the Max Planck Institute for Astronomy in Heidelberg.

Since I’ve started my PhD in 2014 at the University of Amsterdam, I’ve been exploring the inner regions of protoplanetary disks where terrestrial planets and super-Earth form and migrate using a combination of observations and modeling tools.

I started my work in NIR interferometry on VLTI PIONIER data, modeling the dust distribution and carbon reservoirs in disks around Herbig stars. Currently, I am a member of the VLTI GRAVITY and the MATISSE consortia, exploring disk asymmetries and gap opening as signs of planet formation as well as gas accretion.
