Member of the JMMC tech group @ Grenoble
I joined Institut de Planétologie et d’Astrophysique de Grenoble as software engineer since 2002. I get a permanent position at CNRS in 2007 then moved to the Observatoire des Sciences de l’Univers de Grenoble in 2017 to join it’s datacenter team.
Responsible of the WIRCAM cryovessel control/command in 2004, I had chance to visit nice observing site. But providing spare is more easy in computer field than electronic one. I then focus on software following the IVOA since 2005 trying to make JMMC’s tools and services as interoperable as possible.
I appreciate every day to develop tools and help to make them online and available to the wider community. I do my best to provide support and tools for data sharing especially on http://oidb.jmmc.fr . We send a JMMC sticker to every OiDB’s newcomer 😁 You can also win another one if you fill a bugreport that help us to improve JMMC tools ! We appreciate any feedback!
Happy to help for the setup of practice session remote environment ! This year will be a good one for me since we will manage practice sessions’s infrastructure as code using Openstack, Ansible…
Please check / fill the FAQ and drop me an email to fix your technical issues during the school.

Enjoyed listening next music titles (forgetting many other ones) during the preparation of the school:
Highway Song · Blackfoot
Brimful of Asha (The Norman Cook Remix) · Cornershop

Setting up such numbers of machines at Porquerolles, Barcelonnette, …, Lisboa, tooked us 1 day and required us to bring physical machines, run kilometers in the same room to install network cables, reach every keyboards to reboot the machines multiples times and sync disks. This was funny, but this year this deployment step took less than a minute with modern tools (TERRAFORM). Okay settings reuse recipes and experience I started to play with in my first school at Goutelas bringing a server clone and a copy of internet (parts of) inside…
next operations will use parallel-ssh, ansible or other nice tools (no hammer)
