Hi everyone!
I’m Claire Davies (she/her) and I’m a post-doc at the University of Exeter in the UK. My work focuses on high angular resolution observations of young stellar objects so interferometry plays a big role in my work. Read more about my research
I’ve been a member of the MIRC-X commissioning team since I started my first post-doc at Exeter in 2015. MIRC-X is a six-telescope combiner at the Centre for High Angular Resolution Astronomy (CHARA) Array on Mount Wilson, California, and builds on the successes of the earlier MIRC instrument. I’ll be providing an overview of the instrumental developments and recent science highlights during my talk at the school.
I also have experience working with data obtained by the VLTI’s GRAVITY, PIONIER, and MATISSE instruments, CHARA’s CLASSIC and CLIMB instruments, as well as archival Keck Interferometer and IOTA data.
Please feel free to get in touch with me via email or on Twitter.
