Hi all!
I am Célia, I am French. I graduated for my Master in Astronomy and Astrophysics last year at the Paris Observatory. Hopefully, I will begin my PhD next September at the Institute of Planetology and Astrophysics at Grenoble under the supervision of Gaël Chauvin and Julien Milli (title: Path forward discs and exoplanets imaging with SPHERE at VLT: Pushing the limits in its current design and with the SPHERE+ upgrade).
This year, I am doing a full year of research projects in direct-imaging of (proto)planetary systems to finish the four-year course from the Ecole Normale Supérieure de Lyon (consisted in my final year of bachelor in Physics + first year of Master in Physics + second year of Master in a combined program with the Observatory of Paris + this year of research projects).
Through my internships, I had the opportunity to work on different aspects in direct imaging: high-contrast imaging instrumentation (Paris Observatory, France, with Pierre Baudoz and Raphaël Galicher), protoplanetary systems (Max Planck Institute for Astronomy, Heidelberg, Germany, with Faustine Cantalloube and Pr. Thomas Henning), the planetary system HD 95086 (Universidad de Chile, Santiago, with Gaël Chauvin and Patricio Rojo), and finally older systems to explore the link between Super-Earths and Cold Jupiters, by combining radial velocities data and direct-imaging. I give an overview of these projects through a poster displayed on GatherTown.
Otherwise, I like hiking, traveling, cooking, playing Ultimate, Basket, swimming, listening to music. I have been learning playing Guitar for a year, but well, my sense of rhythm is still quite awful!
I am happy to discuss with anyone about whatever subject.
