         * FITS standard => metadata exists, but:
            * non-unique, ambiguous keywords 
            * Can be inaccurate (tel positions, spectral coverage)
            * =>Mapping supervised by authors and/or CDS documentalists
            * Obscore Data model to be filled by authors and pre-filled with informations from the FITS header. CDS tool to generate the mapping with ObsCore: XFits 
         * Summary: Associated data 
            * Is a new, fundamental aspect of open data / open science paradigm 
            * Is a huge challenge because of data volume + heterogeneity
            * Requires a new, dedicated service for publication
            * Requires new, dedicated tools for indexing, so far not bulletproof!
            * Proper indexation is the responsibility of authors and documentalists
            * => authors need to be educated! 
            * Proper indexation guarantees data is discoverable and reusable.
            * Without this level of involvement, the data is useless (data repository/cemetery)
            * Results in increased workload for documentalist
      * COSIM: CDS tool for cross identification

   * <b>NASA</b> Evolution of the Nasa Extragalactic Data base into a data mining discovery engine

      * NED usage is no longer dominated by researchers interactively looking up a few facts about their favorite galaxies one at a time; access is dominated by programmed queries.
      * It is already a &#8216;gold mine&#8217; for knowledge discovery based on an accumulation of panchromatic data fused from more than 100,000 catalogs and articles, growing daily
      * The team is continuously evolving the system with advances at the intersection of astronomy and informatics, in concert with NASA mission archives, ADS, and VOs. 


   * LE point qui en ressort la <b>nécessité d'identifiant unique</b>
      * des données (DOI), des auteurs (ORCID)...
      * Un groupe de travail autour de l'identification unique des instruments s'est créé suite à la présentation d'Emmanuelle Perret CDS sur ce thème, puisqu'il existe plusieurs initiatives hétérogènes en ce sens.
      * Nécessaire collaboration entre producteurs de données, informaticiens, et documentaliste
      * Notion de valeur ajoutée sur les données (les données brutes existent au niveau des archives des instruments, les données calibrées sont recherchées)
      * NED: utilisée en majorité par des machines et non par des chercheurs
      * Full text / Text mining -> d'où l'intérêt de vocabulaire uniformisé (existe un outil "GroBid" développé par l'INRIA Patrice Lopez) capable de transformer un pdf en doc xml utilisé au CDS
